This is just the beginning of a very exiting journey to orbit!
  • Would you like to be part of LuxCube project and contribute to build our own satellite?
  • Would you like to obtain hands-on experience on designing, building, testing and operating spacecraft hardware while at the same time working on your final thesis, internship or simply as a volunteer?
Then, join us, we are looking forward to working together with highly motivated students!
Available Position(s)

The CubeSat is taking shape in the LuxCube Lab (C06): we already have some components and more under procurement. We have a project plan and big dreams, now we need your support to make it happen!

Some examples of the activities you could do with us:

  • Take the lead in the design and assembly of the on-board camera (or another sensor) that will be flying as the primary payload of LuxCube
  • Various System Engineering tasks, from the project management side (coordination, documentation and planning of tasks) as well as carry out system level analyses, like power/mass budgets, CAD design etc. but also help with contacting vendors/sponsors to help procuring the components needed and general help with getting everything ready for launch
  • Test facilities development and improvement, including preparation and execution of tests on equipment and the entire system
  • Lead the efforts to identify, design/select, build/upgrade ground stations (antennas) that will support the mission linking our Lab to the satellite in Space
  • Lead the efforts to select/develop the ground control system (software) that will allow us to properly communicate with the satellite in Space

We want to make sure the work you’ll do with us will count towards your degree, so get in touch and we can find out what’s the best fit with your studies (e.g. thesis proposal, Lab internship, team projects and so on) in terms of topics and timeline. Of course, we also welcome anyone that wants to volunteer their time and get some hands-on experience on a satellite project, linked or not to your studies.

A Space project is multidisciplinary and inclusive in nature, it’s where many disciplines come together to achieve common goals. No matter what your interests are, or the degree you are enrolled with, there is probably something that we can do together which will contribute to LuxCube.

Don’t hesitate and contact us!
